Installing SilverFramework

The super-quick way (for those with enough knowledge to fill in the gaps)
- Upload the folders in the ZIP-file to your Magento installation folder.
- Activate the «Styled» theme in your Magento backend.
Step by step installation
Before you start, make sure you have the following access:
- FTP, SFTP or SSH access to your Magento installation
- Login to your Magento Admin panel
Note that even though SilverFramework does not overwrite any of your existing files in Magento, its recommended that you have a fresh backup of the system before you start. And of course, its also not recommended to install the package directly on a running production environment. All in all, be wise, not brave.
Ok, lets install SilverFramework!
- Extract the content of the ZIP archive and upload the content directly to your Magento installation. The archive will automatically be uploaded to the correct folders within your Magento installation.
- Enable the new SilverFramework theme in your Magento store by going to
System -> Configuration -> Design, and type in the values according to the screenshot below:
- Log in to your Magento Admin control panel and navigate to
System -> Cache Management. Click on the “Select All” link in the upper left corner and then select Refresh in the Actions dropdown menu. Then hit Submit. You should now be able to see the new SilverFramework menu option in the top menu inside your Magento Admin panel. - Walk yourself through the various settings in the SilverFramework configuration menu and make any eventual changes to the default setup if required.
Done! You have now successfully installed SilverFramework.
